Darryl Levine, President and Founder, launched USClaims in 1996 as one of the first financial assistance litigation companies. Today he continues to take a daily and active role in the company’s operations. Darryl’s top priority is to ensure that every client’s life necessities are provided for while each lawsuit winds its way through the court system.
Darryl makes it a priority to personally handle funding issues, contract negotiations, and the general business operations of the company – responsibilities he has every day. He recognizes that the litigation process can oftentimes take years to conclude. As a result, Darryl maintains relationships with law firms and works with outside legal counsel to streamline the litigation funding process as much as possible.
The personal and financial stressors inevitable while lawsuits are pending led Darryl to launch USClaims in order to offer financial funding to those involved in litigation. His desire to help plaintiffs continues to motivate him today, particularly in the face of new laws limiting victims’ rights to compensation in personal injury cases.
To Darryl, it is a personal reward to help people have peace of mind so that they can pay their bills and live as normal a life as possible while embroiled in litigation. Darryl holds a doctorate of optometry and a bachelor of science in biology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University). He is a member of the American Legal Finance Association (ALFA) and an avid tennis player.
Executive Director and VP Donna Lee Jones reviews cases to ensure they meet USClaims’ criteria for litigation funding. Her experience includes fighting for the civil rights of personal injury victims, including patients injured due to medical errors. Donna was part of a team of attorneys that secured a $20 million settlement in a bad-faith claim against an insurance company and she secured a $12 million verdict in the delay of a breast cancer diagnosis.
A passionate advocate for excellence in the practice of law, Donna has served on the boards of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association (PTLA), Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAAJ), and The Lawyers Club of Philadelphia.
